Referrals I had the pleasure of working with Don Bagley last fall at a charity event. We were raising money for a 2 grader with cancer at Scarborough Elementary, in Olathe. I was on the planning committee for the fundraiser called “Junk For Jackson” which was a HUGE garage sale in the school gym. We thought it would be fun to have music playing for our shoppers and needed a DJ to also make announcements for giveaways and raffle items. I know Don from church and when I asked him if he would be interested in helping out, he did not hesitate. When Don arrived at the event, he was on time, set up quickly without any help and before we knew it, he was playing an assortment of music for all ages. The variety of music played by Don was perfect because we had young children, elementary students, parents, teachers and elderly shoppers at our event. Throughout the day, we asked Don to make several impromptu announcements for the auction, food, outdoor activities, etc. Don was able to seamlessly announce items as if he has rehearsed them. He was able to stay at our event all day and provide music to keep up the spirit of the workers, shoppers and family for our fundraiser. Don’s presence and music contributed to the success of the event. We were so thankful he was able to donate his time and talents to our event!
